Safety Superheroes

The Safety Superheroes program promotes a multi-generational approach to fall prevention. Just as grandparents look out for their grandchild's safety, children can play an integral role to prevent their grandparents and others from falling. The kit, including a storybook and e-resources, focuses on teaching kids (ideal ages 5-8) in a fun way. The intent is for the book to be read first, followed by use of the other kit activities. There are questions, puzzles, and instructions to make a playhouse. The online challenge is more interactive, asking you to spot unsafe items in the bedroom, kitchen, and outdoors; foods that contain calcium, and safe items in a matching game.
